Out of the last 40 cybersecurity books I read the books below are probably the best ones. They are covering a wide range of topics from high level CISO guidance all the way to hands on penetration testing.

A great book for every CISO and individuals aspiring to become a CISO. It covers a wide range to topics.  Some might call it the "Playbook for CISOs".

Crafting the InfoSec Playbook

This practical book demonstrates a data-centric approach to distilling complex security monitoring, incident response, and threat analysis ideas into their most basic elements

An interesting different look at how to measure cybersecurity risk. If you have wondering about the efficiency of existing "risk management" models most cybersecurity frameworks use then you should definitely read this book.

Data-Driven Security: Analysis, Visualization and Dashboards

If you can't measure it, you can't improve it. This book contains real world examples how to visualize your data effectively.

The Hacker Playbook 2: Practical Guide To Penetration Testing

Great book if you want to do some hands on penetration testing.  It references a wide range of tools and linux images that will allow you to get up to speed quickly.

If you have any other books you'd highly recommend please comment or send an email! I am always looking for new good books to add here.
